Ingredients: |
1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds |
1/2 cup Pumpkin Seeds |
2 tablespoons Maple Syrup or Sugar Syrup |
60 gm Dark Chocolate or Regular Chocolate |
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C). Take 1/2 cup sunflower seeds in a bowl.
- Add 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds.
- Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or sugar syrup.
- Mix well.
- Line a baking tray with a parchment paper or an aluminum foil. Keep a cookie cutter on the baking tray and spoon some of the seeds mixture into it. Press it gently with the backside of a spoon to make them even. Then gently remove the cookie cutter (I have used the heart-shaped cookie cutter).
- Or you can directly spoon the mixture on the baking tray (or use a small measuring cup) and make small circles.
- Bake them at 350 F (180 C) until golden brown, for 10-14 minutes. The time requires for baking depends on the size and thickness so, keep an eye after 10 minutes of baking time.
- Remove the baking tray from the oven. Don’t touch them, they will break apart. Let them cool completely to firm up.
- Once it cools down, it will turn super crispy.
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave (melt for 20-30 seconds, stir it, if required, again do the same process.) or use a double boiler method.
- Dip one side of each cluster into melted chocolate or drizzle some melted chocolate on top and put on a tray.
- Let them set at room temperature or place in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
- Crispy chocolate clusters with seeds are ready.
Tips and Variations:
- For variation, add sesame seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, coconut flakes, sliced almonds, and pistachios (or other nuts). You can even add vanilla extract or spices like cardamom powder, cinnamon, etc.
- Bake the seeds bites until a little golden. Thicker and bigger ones will take more time compared to thinner and smaller ones. So, keep an eye after 10 minutes to prevent them from turning brown.
