How to Cut a Pomegranate Recipe (with Step by Step Photos)
Here is the step by step guide to cut a pomegranate in easy simple steps. This one is a mess free effective method (no tapping with a wooden spoon) to deseed the pomegranate arils(seeds) without bruising or breaking them.

1 Red Ripe Pomegranate |

Directions:
- Remove the pomegranate crown (flower-like shape) by gently cutting it in a circle using a knife as shown in the picture. Don’t cut too deep.
- Remove the crown.
- Cut it shallow from the sides vertically on the outside. Cut it from top to bottom and make around 6-8 cuts (depending on the size of a pomegranate).
- Now, hold the pomegranate and gently pull it from the center using your fingers.
- It will open easily into sections and look like as shown in the picture.
- Remove seeds from the segment by peeling the skin. Use a large bowl to remove the seeds (use a bowl filled with water for mess-free cleaning). Pomegranate seeds are ready to use for juice, smoothies, and salads. Seeds stay good for 5 days in the refrigerator and for 1 year in a freezer.
