Ingredients:
1 Red Ripe Pomegranate
1 Knife
A large Bowl
Directions:
  1. step-1
Remove the pomegranate crown (flower-like shape) by gently cutting it in a circle using a knife as shown in the picture. Don’t cut too deep.
  2. step-2
    Remove the crown.
  3. step-3
Cut it shallow from the sides vertically on the outside. Cut it from top to bottom and make around 6-8 cuts (depending on the size of a pomegranate).
  4. step-4
Now, hold the pomegranate and gently pull it from the center using your fingers.
  5. step-5
It will open easily into sections and look like as shown in the picture.
  6. step-6
Remove seeds from the segment by peeling the skin. Use a large bowl to remove the seeds (use a bowl filled with water for mess-free cleaning). Pomegranate seeds are ready to use for juice, smoothies, and salads. Seeds stay good for 5 days in the refrigerator and for 1 year in a freezer.
Tips and Variations:
  • Choose the fresh ripe pomegranate.
  • Don’t cut the pomegranate too deep to keep the seeds whole.
Taste: Sweet
Serving Ideas:Enjoy pomegranate seeds on their own or use them to make pomegranate smoothies and pomegranate juice.
