Mango Overnight Oats Recipe
Here is the recipe for naturally sweet creamy mango overnight oats that you can prepare a night ahead in less than 5 minutes. Just mix the oats with chia seeds and milk and put it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight. Stir in yogurt and mango puree with oats just before serving and mango oats are ready to serve for breakfast in the morning.

1/2 cup old fashioned Rolled Oats |
1 tablespoon Chia Seeds, optional |
1/2 cup Plain Milk (or non-dairy milk like coconut milk or almond milk) |
1/4 cup Water |
1/4 cup Plain Yogurt (or non-dairy yogurt) |
1/4 cup to 1/3 cup fresh or canned Mango Puree (to taste) |
1/2 cup diced fresh Mango, optional |
Toppings |
2 tablespoons diced Cherry or Pomegranate Seeds, optional |
2 tablespoons Cashew nuts or Almonds or Pecans, sliced or chopped, optional |
1/2 tablespoon Pepita (pumpkin seeds) or Sunflower Seeds, optional |
1 tablespoon toasted Desiccated Coconut, optional |
Directions:
- Take 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats and 1 tablespoon chia seeds in a medium container or a mason jar.
- Add 1/2 cup milk and 1/4 cup water. Mix well.
- Cover the container or the jar with a lid and place it in the refrigerator for minimum 2 hours or overnight.
- Remove the container from the refrigerator; stir in 1/4 cup plain yogurt and 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup mango puree.
- Add diced fresh mango and sprinkle some nuts of your choice and diced cherry or pomegranate seeds over it.
- Mango overnight oats are ready for serving.
Tips and Variations:
- The flavor of the oats depends on the sweetness and flavor of mango puree.
- If required, add the sweetener like honey or maple syrup to make them sweet.
- As per the availability, you can use fresh or canned mango puree. In this recipe, canned mango puree (use alphonso or kesar mango puree) from Indian grocery store is used.
- Plain yogurt is added to make the oats creamy.
