Pear Juice
This naturally sweet Pear Juice recipe is simple to make using a blender within 5 minutes. In this juice, pear is the main ingredient while lemon, ginger, and salt are added to make it flavorful. There are a variety of pears available in the market, some are soft and pulpy while some are hard and juicy. As per the availability, you can choose any type of pear for this juice. For watery juice, use hard and juicy pears and for thick and pulpy juice, use pulpy pears.
1 Pear (used pulpy pear)
1/2 cup + 1/2 cup Water (or as needed)
1/2 teaspoon chopped Ginger, optional
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (or to taste)
A pinch of Black Salt or Salt
  1. Rinse the pear under running water. Dry it and peel it using a vegetable peeler.
  2. Cut into quarters. Remove the stem and seeds from the center. Cut them into big pieces.
  3. Add pear pieces to the big jar of a blender. Add 1/2 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon chopped ginger, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and a pinch of salt (or black salt).
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Add remaining 1/2 cup water (or as needed to dilute the juice). Mix well. Pour it into serving glasses and serve immediately. Consume this juice immediately as it will oxidize and turn brown.
Tips and Variations:
  • If you are making pear juice for a baby, don’t add lemon juice or salt.
  • There are a variety of pears available, some are pulpy and some are juicy. If you use the pulpy pear, the juice will turn thick. Adjust the amount of water as per the consistency of the juice.
  • Add 1 stick of celery and 1/2 cucumber instead of 1/2 cup water.
Taste: Sweet and mild tangy
Serving Ideas:  Serve pear juice to kids as an afternoon beverage instead of any other sugary drink.
