Strawberry Sorbet
Strawberry Sorbet is a healthy frozen dessert having a silky-smooth texture like ice cream. It is made from only 3 Ingredients – strawberries, sugar, lemon (or lime juice), and can be easily modified as per your taste preference. Both fresh and frozen strawberries work well for this recipe and you can use either sugar, maple syrup, or honey to add the sweet touch.
Ingredients:
1 cup Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1-2 tablespoons Sugar or Honey or Maple Syrup or Simple Sugar Syrup, to taste
1-2 teaspoons Lemon or Lime Juice, to taste (optional)
Directions:
  1. If you are using frozen strawberries, skip step-2 to step-5.
  2. Rinse the strawberries under running water and pat dry them.
  3. Remove the stem and leaves from the strawberries and cut into 4 pieces.
  4. Place cut strawberries on a plate or a tray.
  5. Freeze for 2 hours or until strawberries turn hard.
  6. Transfer frozen strawberries to the jar of a blender or a mixer grinder. Add 1-2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste) and 1-2 teaspoons lemon or lime juice.
  7. Blend until smooth. Scrape the sides with a spatula, if required.
  8. Transfer it to a container and smoothen the top surface using the backside of a spoon. Strawberry sorbet is ready to serve. Enjoy.

  • Sugar – Depending on the sweetness of strawberries, adjust the amount of sugar. You can use honey, maple syrup, and simple sugar syrup as a replacement for sugar.
