1/2 teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder (or cumin-coriander powder), optional
1 tablespoon finely chopped Coriander Leaves or Mint Leaves, optional
Salt, to taste
2 cups Water
Directions:

  3. Add only 1 cup of water.
  4. Blend well using an immersion blender (hand blender). Add the remaining 1 cup of water and blend again for a few seconds. You can also use a mixer grinder or a blender instead of a hand blender to make chhas.

  • To make plain buttermilk (chaas), don’t add any spices or herbs.
Taste: Salty
Serving Ideas:  This cooling beverage can be served with any Indian style meal or after a meal.
